How to Get Unstuck in Life

Wondering how to get unstuck in life? I get it. That “stuck” feeling you’re having is so beyond normal. It’s a feeling that everyone gets at least once in their life, but sometimes getting out of it seems impossible. Learning how to get unstuck can certainly feel like an uphill battle, but you’re not alone. These are my best tips on getting unstuck and reaching your full potential.

Cheer yourself on with confidence

When people ask me how to get unstuck in life, the first thing I usually notice is a lack of confidence. One reason you feel so stuck is because you believe that you are stuck. You have to move past that feeling and feel confident with your life decisions. You have to look in the mirror every morning and smile because you are a divine unrepeatable miracle and you matter. Start by making a list of the things that you know you’re great at and what you love about yourself. Ingrain these in your mind every day by putting sticky notes everywhere in your home, reminding you of how amazing you are! Cheer yourself on. You got this!

Surround yourself with unstuck people

Leave the negative people in your life behind and surround yourself instead with people who support you. Form your own tribe of people who have similar goals as you and people who want to see you succeed. Look for people who inspire you to be better and people who emanate joy and positivity. Your tribe is EVERYTHING. We aren’t meant to do this on our own.

Let go of the sh*t that’s weighing you down

One of the most important parts of spiritual healing is looking towards the future and stop looking over your shoulder. If you really want to get unstuck, you have to pull yourself forward. Nothing good can come from dwelling on your past. Let that sh*t go! You may not even realize that you’re doing it. Do you catch yourself blaming your past for your current state? Do you wish that you had made different decisions? Well, thinking about that stuff is not going to help you move forward and create a life you love. It happened, it’s done, so move on. Focus on what you CAN control: who you choose to be now and the choices you make today and for the rest of your life moving forward.

Get super grateful

Do you have a tendency to feel like you never have enough? It’s ok to look for improvements in your life (in fact, I encourage it), but I draw the line when it starts making you feel “not good enough”. Listen, if you really want to, you can find a problem with literally every aspect of your life– your career, your relationships, etc.– but why would you want to? Practice gratefulness by creating a list or praying every morning about all the things you have been blessed with. The more grateful you are now, the more you will have to be grateful for.

Find your purpose

Everyone has a purpose. Your purpose is more than your job. Why are you here on this planet? Why do you wake up everyday? Your answer is going to be different from everyone else’s. It’s impossible for you to figure out how to get unstuck in life if you don’t know WHY you want that in the first place. Your purpose is the fire that fuels you. It’s something that lights your soul on fire.

Give yourself time to figure out which direction to point yourself in. Ask yourself questions like, “when am I happiest? What am I best at? What lights me up? What are my gifts, and can I get paid for my gifts through a spiritual career instead of sitting at a dead-end job that I hate?” If you are having trouble finding your purpose, I got you. This is exactly why I created my Turn “You’re Crazy” Into Your Purpose Bootcamp. My gift is helping others uncover and get paid for their gifts.

Set actionable goals

Once you know your life purpose, set actionable goals to get there. Even with a clear purpose in mind, you’ll always be stuck if you don’t try to dig yourself out. Action is always the first step. And it’s okay if it’s a little messy! As long as you are taking actionable steps every day, you are living out your purpose and well on your way out of feeling “stuck”!

Don’t make excuses

Most people who feel stuck will have made up reasons why they can’t get themselves unstuck. Those reasons can be personal or professional. Anything from “I don’t have the money I need” to “my past is holding me back.” Instead of dwelling on your excuses, find ways to move past them. There is nothing you cannot overcome with confidence and a little creativity. Remember: cheer yourself on! And if you have trouble doing that, find a life purpose cheerleader. 😉

Stop comparing yourself

Everyone spends more time comparing themselves to others than they’d like to admit. Everyone has a different purpose and different goals. We all move at a different pace and are successful in different areas. Just because one person has more social media followers than you do or reached a goal a little bit faster than you did, does not mean that you are unsuccessful. Comparing yourself to others is only going to rob you of your joy and slow you down. It’s not healthy and it’s not productive!

Be present

Take the time every day to engage in your senses and be present. One of the reasons a lot of people have trouble figuring out how to get unstuck in life is that they are actually trying too hard. While it’s crucial that you set goals and live your life according to your purpose, it’s also important that you are fully present during that entire process. Enjoy the journey! Instead of constantly trying to multitask and thinking about the next thing you have to do, plan out your full day in the morning so you can spend each moment being present.

Put yourself first

No matter what your purpose is, you have to come first. You cannot fully serve others if you are not at your best. Lots of people who set life goals never reach their full potential because they are letting their own health, happiness, and overall well-being suffer in order to be “successful”. But is that really success? Put your oxygen mask on first before helping others. You must heal yourself before you can heal others.

Get support from a spiritual coach

You don’t have to do this alone. You are worthy of support. A spiritual coach can help you find your purpose and take the steps to get there. I’ll teach you how to get unstuck in life so you can live out your true purpose and get paid for your unique gifts. Plus, you can join me on this journey virtually from wherever you are! It’s time to turn your life around because you matter, you’re worthy, and your purpose matters.
